(The lineman works at the same potential (like a bird on a wire) as the live voltage by wearing a conductive suit that acts as a faraday cage.)

(The lineman uses an insulated hand tool to isolate him from the live potential.)

(The lineman stands on an insulated platform and uses rubber gloves to isolate him from the live potential.)
